Carmax = always crackpipe because they sell at over 15% of book value so you will likely be at 135% when it comes time to financing

True, but MaxCare warranty...

Cars like this are awesome. Far too big for me to ever actually own one, but they are awesome. I also really like the color of wood they used on the interior.

Would only be worth it if the warranty price was included in the sales price of the car.

Assuming it’s 15% over value, you’ll pay $9k too much. How plausible is it that this warranty will save you $9k?

It looks like a nice place to be, but for every day I would still probably prefer an S-Class

If you live anywhere the pavement isn’t great, forget it. Fixing those tires and wheels would cost a fortune, over and over again.

I really don't know what the reliability on these is like, but from the way you sound it doesn't seem plausible.

I love me some S–class. And now my girlfriend wants one…

what’s a similar 2011 750 with low (20k) miles go for anyway these days?
i guess i’m asking, what kind of premium do they think the alpina bits bring?

What generation? I think the W221 is my most favorite.

I honestly don’t know. I’m only looking at the numbers provided by R Saldana (+15%) and the ad ($65k). $9k seems like a lot, but I’ve got no experience with these cars, nor can I determine the reliability of that 15% stat.

I bet I could rack up $9k in warranty claims. Pretend it’s a Jeep and go to MOAB, BRO.

My girlfriend likes the W222, I’m a big fan of the W126 myself. Only one I’ve driven is a W221 though. Fantastic car for sure.
